School Based Mental Health Program
In-school mental health services for children in Ottawa.
It is not uncommon for children to experience mental health challenges primarily at school. Working closely with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and the Ottawa Catholic School Board, the School Connections team delivers mental health services for children in 10 schools across Ottawa. Children with mental health needs are identified by teachers and principals and, with parent consent, referred to a child and youth worker who helps them build skills to succeed within their regular school environment.
